Data is gathered with a patented spectroscopy array, analyzed with adaptive algorithms, and delivered securely via the Kohler Health app. Designed for discretion, precision, and ease, Dekoda turns the bathroom into a new space for understanding the body’s signals and supporting proactive wellbeing.

LAGO Product Family
LAGO is a consumer electronics start-up that makes products to help users enjoy digitally native artwork in their homes. The Flagship 33” V1 Display was released in July 2022; V2 is awaiting funding for product development kick-off with overseas manufacturing partners.
“But In Practice,” explores combining the benefits of mass and local production scales by distributing standardized, objectively designed parts to local makers in order to provide agency to artisans and batch producers. This research explores the relationship between mass and local production while uncovering collective understandings of handicraft, global localism, and cultural contextualism in central Anatolia.
Seat pans were designed by me, then distributed to local Turkish artisans to complete. Each artisan submitted their own unique concept. Analysis shows that use of the hybrid making approach affords expert craftspeople an opportunity to compete against globalized mass production in utility-oriented objects by injecting local context, culture, and understanding.
